I was in charge of animation and design for the Quip Water Flosser How-to videos. I retouched and color corrected the photography used for the stop motion look. The development of the videos required a fair amount of post production work such as background replacement, scene extension and frame-to-frame matching. The Water Flosser How-tos relied on 2D animation a lot more than other instructional videos at Quip. The water flossing sequence in How-to Use was especially fun and challenging to figure out. It had to be consistent with Quip’s 2D illustration look. Many iterations were explored before we arrived at this final look.
